Ditto. I can be out partying till 2am and sure enough...I'll be up at 7ish. It really intensifies the hangover to say the very least.

I become into a huge morning person on vacations. Don't mind waking up earlier so I have that much longer in the day to enjoy my vacation surroundings. Also more of a morning person on my days off for the same reason(to have more time to enjoy the day).

I do this as well. I wake up earlier on the weekends and on vacation than I do for work.

What time are you going to bed? I find that my body is naturally pushing me to get up after 7-8 hours of sleep. I can't remember the last time I slept past 9 am.

Start getting up when you wake up. Even if it's just to do something relaxing like watching a show on the DVR.

I sleep in on the weekends, but to me that just means I don't set an alarm and whenever I wake up, I get up.

Usually around 11. I don't get tired before that.

Wake up around 6/6:30, no morning meetings I can hit snooze until 7ish. Only have a 10 minute commute to work.

Before puberty, I was a morning person, but ever since, waking up has usually been the worst part of my day. I loathe it entirely. Unless I've got some major shite to do, it's always a struggle.

On a bachelor party, last weekend, you were awake at 7 AM playing around on YouTube after a longgggggg night.

ETA:

I know this because you woke me up slapping your keyboard like a teenage girl.

I switch a few times a year. It mostly depends on what you're looking forward to doing. When I'm in the habit of hitting the gym, I'm out of my door at 5:30 every morning without being tired. If I am going to directly to work, I drag myself out of bed at 7.

Wow

So if you wake up at 6:30, your mind is firing on all cylinders before 7:30? Impressive man. Takes me some coffee, morning news, and some breakfast.

No. I've been getting up at 6:30 my entire life and I hate it. Won't ever get used to it.

It was like 9:30. You didn't crawl out of bed until like 11:00.

That's absolute hogwash. We were at the boat launch at 11. I looked at my clock and it was 7.

I yelled at you, you left, and our other friend came in and had time to sleep.

ETA:

Not the point of this thread. Waking up anyone earlier than they want to get up on a bachelor party is town square lynching worthy though.

In the morning, your cortisol rises until it peaks in 8 am. Coffee increases cortisol. If you stay up later than you should, your body produces more cortisol to keep you awake (and will not peak at 8 am).

I believe non-morning people (me) do not have correct cortisol levels or stay up too late.

It's all about setting a rhythm for your body. I was NEVER a morning person and hated mornings. Once the kid was born though, that changed. Now the wife and I both get up at 530am every morning, on the weekends its 630am. We go to bed at around 9-10 every night. We have a specific routine we stick to in the mornings and rarely have issues.

Viagra tadalafil combo will make you a morning person.

But exorcise, diet, going to bed early changed me from a non morning person. Now I get up a 4am every morning before my alarm goes off. Go to bed around 9

Me? Pretty much. I don't enjoy waking up, but my mind is 100% within a few minutes. I do some of my best thinking in the shower which is task #1.

I wasn't trying to knock you. I was commenting on what I thought was the concern you were expressing. Over an hour before you feel like your brain is in gear seems extreme. But maybe I misunderstood what you meant.

OP have kids yet?

Kids mentioned yet? Pre-k kids are ALL morning people. And they give zero fricks if you are or aren't.
