We believe that the actions of these bars affects the student communities of LSU, Southern, and others in a highly negative way.
They have not only engaged in underhanded tactics to dehumanize parts of our beautiful community, they have also been caught multiple times serving alcohol to underage drinkers and with their history of covering up sexual assault, this is a dangerous situation that we can no longer ignore.
Just this past week Reggie's bar was using a stamp with a racist slur on it and was stamping it on patron's hands. When a Black patron expressed concern over being stamped with that racial slur she was told that she could leave. This owner of Reggie's has reccently made multiple eyebrow-raising statements, and from his bar hangs the confederate flag.
Current problems:
- LSU subsidizes the transportation of students, and their money, to these bars that stand in direct opposition to the values that LSU stands for.
- University administration claims that these busses are provided so that students don't drive drunk and they promote safe practices. However, there are bars that cater to people of color and/or LGBTQ students. No other busses go to a substantial number of these bars so our question is, why don't these other students deserve safety as well?
- These bars are a breeding ground for sexual assault.
- These bars are overtly racist in both employee/owner attitudes and actions.

Peter is a dipshit. Eventually they'll be forced to realize that nobody gives a frick about them and the only people who say they matter are only humoring their bullshite for a vote. They think their lives matter less than people who actually contribute to society and they're absolutely right.
