Calling All OT Lawyers

I put down a $200 deposit on a rental car (had to use a debit card because I didn't have my CC on me), and they have yet to return it to me a week later.
I called and they said the sent it to my bank, and my bank said that's a lie.
What are my courses of action here? Their corporate office phone system has a glitch where you can only call if you know your extension. When you hit the billing questions button, the call ends

It's $200. that's my advice.

You need a lawyer for advice on getting a $200 deposit back?
Posted on 3/6/15 at 10:40 am to Big Moe
And this is why you don't:
A. Rent from non-major rental agencies
B. EVER use a debit card for hotels or rental cars
You are welcome. My bill for the advice is enroute.

Your main course of action should be not to start a thread in the OT asking for free legal advice. If you are that stung over the situation, then go pay a lawyer and let him tell you that you're an idiot.

I don't need a lawyer, and I know it's just $200
I was just wondering if there is anything I can do. Lawyers typically can help in these matters

My fee is $200. Send the check and I'll tell you how to fix the problem!

I'll take the case. My retainer is $5,000.00 and my hourly fee is $500.

Old joke.
Guy asks a lawyer, "Will you answer two questions for a flat fee of $500?" The lawyer ponders it for a moment. "Yes," he replies. "Now what's your second question?"

Careful. Some guy in California got an unreasonable fee action for saying something similar to this.
I could tell you were joking, because that is a pittance of what you are worth.

What's the name of the company?
Posted on 3/6/15 at 11:00 am to Big Moe
OP. Just work the problem. Sometimes I get the two parties on a conference call. One of them has your money. You don't care who, you just want it. Let them fight it out.
