Some friends and I are looking to go over Memorial Day weekend next year. What are some good resorts to stay at? Also, are there any must see sites there?

TIA

Pueblo Bonita Sunset Beach if there are any kids.

Pueblo Bonita Pacifica if all adults. They're right next to each other.

If you are fishing use Pisces. If you are scuba diving use Manta.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos was awesome. More private and not in the main Cabo San Lucas downtown area but beautiful. The little town it's by was great and is not a cheesy tourist trap like the other part of cabo.

Also drive up to Cerritos beach and Todos Santos

Riu Palace was our choice in 2008.

A hurricane changed our plans and we just went to cancun instead.

All the research on it was good.

It's location is great. Tip of the Baja.

All inclusives stink in Cabo because no one stays at the resort. Don't waste your money.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Riu Palace back in the spring and really liked it. You probably need to take a cab into downtown, but it's also walkable in about 20 minutes. We walked the beach a few times there and back.

It's dangerous to swim in front of the hotel because of the waves and undertow, but the pools are great. Top shelf booze included. Booze dispensers in the room, stocked fridge, pretty good food. Good stuff.

Edith's and the Office are a must (especially edith's). I'd also recommend a sunset cruise and a snorkel trip.

We're going to the Riu Palace that weekend. My daughter is getting married at the Sunset De Mona Lisa and our group are all staying there.

The Palace is the higher end version of Riu versus the Santa Fe. Food is better, booze is better and from the Palace you can go to all of the Santa Fe facilities. This is a typical Riu, in other words if you've stayed at one you know what to expect. Rooms are nice, pools are real, good. Two swim up bars, good service. The Riu will not blow you away but it is a good place. This will be our third visit.

The beach in Cabo is not good for swimming. There are some swim areas off to the west but probably not worth the trip. Downtown is a long walk or a short bus or cab ride. Great view of the harbor and the arch from the hotel.

I stayed at the resort at pedregal. 1st class but away from the main area. Went to dinner at the one and only. It's 5 star as well. It was amazing. Neither is all-inclusive and bring your wallet for both. Both places' service and accommodations can't be beat.

Eta: sunset de Mona Lisa is amazing. You will have to make reservations. Dinner and setting is best on that entire coast.
