Anyone know where in Jefferson Parish or surrounding areas I can drop off items I don't think the garbage men will pick up? For example, a punching bag on a very heavy stand, a large sheet of glass, rotting wood, cracked, sun damaged pool floats, etc.

I see Orleans allows you to drop things off the second Saturday of the month, but I need these things gone before the weekend.

Just drop it on the ground and make the scenery look nicer.

I'm in JP. I always think they won't pick it up, but they do. Just make sure it is the bulky pickup of your two trash days. They have taken an old bbq pit that was heavy as hell from my curb. That's my biggest, but I've seen refrigerators out before.

There is a trash dump on David Drive by W Metairie. Don't count on those garbage men to pick up anything.
