see it all the time but never knew anyone who bought one to ask them if they really work or if they are trash that doesn't work very well?

just wondering because I might buy one for a buddy for his camp to shoot carpenter bees and wasps with but I don't want to buy it if its not going to work as advertised or last more then a short while

they even come in camo or pink camo for the wife link added LINK

My favorite toy!

It stays in my hand while outside BBQ'ing or boiling crawfish. Killed thousands of flies since I got it for myself since Christmas.

They work pretty good within about a 7 foot range.

That'll work. Even with 20/20 vision, I can't see many hugs further away than that. Except maybe these Jurassic sized Ozark horse flies.

only if you use pink himalayan salt.... Albertson's brand table salt is what the poors kill flys with, may as well just roll you up a free Rouge collection magazine to swag them if you aren't OT baller enough

I only use Kosher salt in mine. I found the Pink Himalaya salt tends to leave pink residue marks this making a manly toy a female toy and I can't have that.

They work fairly well but you are going to need the big game model for carpenter bees and wasps, at least a .50 cal.

Does the Big Game model come in a Pump or is it Automatic action?

It works great. It's also handy for seasoning your food, you know, from across the room.

I have one of the first ones from the initial crowdsourcing campaign, it's complete garbage.

Use mine all the time. Works very well when they are on a window. It's also good to knock wasp down so you can step on them. I smoked a black widow the other day. Disintegrated him!

I've killed (literally) hundreds of flies with mine. It's not meant for bees and wasps, but will kill flies graveyard dead.

Fun and great for flies, I kill tons on my deck, though my 8yr old has appropriated it.

Won't work on wasps, I'm afraid you'll just piss them off.

sorry for no link, I added one for those who are interested.

also I am thinking having salt everywhere might not be ideal, whatever you use will be scattered everywhere but I prefer something that isn't going to rust metal things it lands on or attract roaches, so would a bag of play sand work for ammo? I am assuming that anything small and grainy should work in it right?
