Bucees is still coming to LA just not initially where it was planned. Mr. "Beaver" just purchased land in Lafayette at I10 and Louisiana Ave somewhere around the new Target and Academy.

Somewhere around Costco would have been nicer.

I doubt this claim

I don't see them setting up east of 90 and missing all the eastward traffic that takes 90 to NOLA to bypass BR

Commercial real estate deals typically do not happen this quick

They might be in a due diligence period, but I doubt anything is finalized

BATON ROUGE - Eight months after news first broke Buc-ee's was set to open its first location outside of Texas at the Millerville exit on I-12, the company revealed it had canceled its plans for such a store. A representative with the company said Tuesday, the decision was made because the company could not secure additional locations in Louisiana. Jeff Nadalo, who identified himself as the company's general counsel, said the Buc-ee's business model is to operate numerous stores near each other to "overcome the regulatory costs, management costs, and out-of-state costs" associated with operating the business.

If they carried some of the boudin from a place not so close to the interstate it would be a win for everyone

Sweet maybe I'll have to take 10 instead of 190 to 49 now. Until I get stuck on the basin for 10 hours.

That seems like a better location to me. It's right off the interstate.
