People are very uncomfortable with anything they can't easily identify and label, and it should be their problem to deal with. Instead it's much easier for them to project hate and violence towards those they don't want to accept.

Never said he was heroic, but I give him kudos for admitting on tv a secret he's carried around since he was kid. I'd imagine it's not easy to keep a secret like that for so long.

Gender is, other than in infinitesimally rare cases, a distinct, extremely clear fact of life in the human species. And facts are not subject to feelings. Bruce Jenner's DNA is that of a male human's.
I wish no ill will toward this individual (not 100% sure who he is to be honest) and do not think he should be mistreated, but the mental struggles with which he is dealing should not be lauded.
