re: Bruce Jenner interview

When Bruce was shown clips from his Olympic days, he said he saw himself as "her". That we see a man doing these feats, but he saw himself as a woman doing them. That was amazing to me. Along w/ him saying that if Kris would have been okay with "this", they would still be married.

I think I'm pretty progressive, but I also have a hard time w/ those who are transgendered mutilating their bodies. But at the same time, if the person has the money/insurance to have the SRS, I wonder why many don't?

Thanks, but I'm definitely not an expert. ... I just always found this topic, as it pertains to psychology, very interesting, especially now that it involves someone I remember as being the epitome of masculinity. But I'm not entirely convinced that 100% of Jenner's reasons for doing all of this relate to the gender identity disorder. I think maybe some of them have to do with his other personality & behavioral disorder of narcissism. He was a bit too thrilled about trumping all of the Kardashian clan's dramatics during the self-serving interview, imo.

Like every profession, there are tons of doctors just in it for the $$$. I'm sure someone like Bruce Jenner would have no issues in getting a doctor to write a letter

Yeah, I found all of that fascinating & bizarre, as well. It is difficult to fathom someone who was as masculine as Jenner picturing himself as a female while competing & excelling in the most strenuous athletic Olympic event. It's hard to imagine the best male athlete in the world seeing himself as a female. ... And it is strange that he would have wanted to stay married after his transition. I don't believe many wives would agree to that, understandably.

At the present time, there are many psychological pre-requisites & conditions to be met by the surgical candidate. It takes several years of counseling before the actual operations can take place for most patients. However, in the case of celebrities, I'm sure it is different. Money, power, & fame play a part in it, without a doubt, so some of that is waived in those circumstances, I'm pretty positive.

This is why it should be insulting to all true Christians that he calls himself a Christian. Sure - Christ died for all men, but you can't pick and choose your own rules. Give me a break...
