Breaux Bridge setting us back - gator on porch

Like most people from here, I have often had to debunk the myth that we ride to work in pirogues and kick gators off our porch in the mornings. Well Breaux Bridge is helping to perpetuate (frick you spell check) at least one of those myths and the people paddling around NOLA aren't helping with the other one.

A Breaux Bridge family had a surprise visitor to their home this weekend: an 8-foot alligator.Eddie Bruce captured the video as he stopped by the scene. The video shows the alligator making its way onto a resident's front porch on Belle Drive near St. Martin Hospital on Sunday.

I like how he strolled up there and plopped down on the welcome mat like a yard dog.

The multiple dead alligators on the side of Hwy 90 don't do us any favors either.

The word you are looking for is perpetuate. Please edit so you don't perpetuate the stereotype you are railing against.

Speaking of perpetuating stereotypes, why didn't they just call Troy Landry up?

like the mallard decoy in the front yard. wonder if any were circling?
oh and...
BLAM, BLAM, BLAM
problem solved. another gator may decide to squat on the porch, but THAT gator wont.

Those yard decorations are getting super-realistic now.
Posted on 8/7/17 at 5:34 pm to jbgleason
Man, all they gotta do is sweep them off the porch with a broom.
