It's sad that this feels like a weekly occurrence. Hopefully the only one dead is the shooter.

That's the bad part about this crap being so publicized on the media. It gives some of the borderline guys their fifteen minutes and that gives them incentive to actually do it.

I'm sure Barrack is already penning his 2 sentences of condolences to the victim's and their families and 5 pages about needing to take guns away.

Another product of medicating the majority of our youths. When will parents and doctors draw the line into turning children into pill poppers?

It would be nice if they would clarify if this was a "school shooting" or a shooting that happened to take place on a campus.

if it "happened to take place at a school" doesn't that make it a school shooting?

Eh, I see the point he was trying to make

The shooting in Oregon was a school shooting
The shooting at Delta State, while was technically a school shooting, fits more into the shooting on a campus category

But until more details are released, not certain if this is an isolated event or something meant to be bigger that happened to be soiled. The 3 injured part makes me think it may be the latter.

But then again, why would someone who had the intention to be the next famed school shooter start his spree at 1:20 am?

Did someone go to campus with the sole purpose of shooting as many people on the campus as possible

OR

Did a couple people get in an argument and someone shot a a few people and it happened to take place on a campus.

It is all about motive. How do people not understand this.

Its the same level of tragedy no matter what, but let's say a student walked into Middleton and started shooting. That's a lot different than a north campus thug shooting a student at his car in the old row greek parking lot. It think that's what he means by "school shooting" vs. "shooting at a school"

this

and for those that need clarification

a "school shooting" to me is where a kid goes on a shooting spree shooting/killing anybody

a shooting that just happened at a school is where it was isolated to a group or individuals with actual motive, like a fight or something, not just shooting randoms

My best guess based on limited and early info would be this:
quote:

Did a couple people get in an argument and someone shot a a few people and it happened to take place on a campus

The 1:20 am time leads me to believe this had more to do with an emotional occurrence or argument, than a lone shooter who feels alienated from society.

time will tell...
