Bring illegal weapons onto a military installation?

Are you sure the weapon was illegal? link?
IMO all people that can legally carry a firearm concealed or openly, should be able to carry where ever they want, even military installations.

When I first heard about this I totally did not expect it to be a black guy.

What annoys me is HLN keeps saying he played video games. So what? He's 34 years old.. they won't stop saying it.

How the frick did this guy get into a NAVAL base with a gun?

it was a Ship yard so probably contracted civilian guards. They are dumb as rocks and no different than any other security guard at like the mall or a construction site. They might have had some military or DOD police out there, but mostly contract guards. It’s the same at all the shipyards and the companies bit each year so turnover is pretty high. Plus it’s random vehicle inspections so, not hard to get a gun on a base if you want to.

All non-federally issued weapons in federal buildings are illegal.

And I'll bet you my next paycheck that the shotgun he used was not registered in DC. No link. Don't feel like i need one.

Well, they obviously can't blame it on him being a right wing racist lunatic. And the media will never condemn a black man. So it's not his fault. It's Call of Duty's fault.

All of this. Guards and gates are not nearly what people thing they are. The fence is way harder to get through than the gate at most places.
