This joke doesn't work on so many levels. Just to start, the NFL doesn't own any teams, it's just a trade association. The teams collectively run the NFL, not the other way around. The league office can't just up and disband/combine teams when they want.
This would be like the local Chamber of Commerce having the authority to disband/combine local companies at a whim.
