I rode motorcycles before texting was a thing. People who ride bikes (and Motorcycles) on the road today have a death wish. I know you have a right to the road but some dumbass will eventually run over you while texting.

I obviously do not live in Louisiana, but if I had a dollar for every person I've seen sitting at a stop sign, trying to navigate into traffic, with a cell phone glued to their ear...

Me saying Im glad I don't live in BR is the equivalent to saying Im glad I wasn't born in Africa.

Had a woman in front of me on i-10 near Acadian, College... She almost swerved against the side of an 18 wheeler. I finally got around her and was sure that she'd have her phone up in front of her face...

Turns out sistah had a 40 oz. in a brown paper bag.

I gave her the thumbs up and sped as far from her as I could.

Just drive I10 from BR to the plants in Ascension Parish at 5am. Damn near 80% of the drivers faces are lit up by their phones as they're tailgating the vehicle in front. So damn dangerous.

My personal belief is that it is more dangerous than drinking and driving.

When my teen started driving I got a device that stops texting and driving.
A Baton Rouge company makes it.

Very cool system for $140.

I like to move around & in front of drivers who are on their phones. Then I get in front of them & slow down to the point that they almost hit me.
I'm just waiting for the right person with the right car that insinuates the right bank account...

At the time of texting, texting and driving is so much worse than drinking and driving. At least drunk people look at the road

Someone wrecked into my baws parked truck yesterday and owned up to texting when he did it. I wrecked into this smoking hot chick while emailing once. It's really dangerous, and nothing is done about it because it is not a big money maker like drinking and driving

I sat at a light recently near my office two weeks ago on a rainy day. Next to me was a city LEO without his headlights on (headlights must be on when wipers are in use) and the guy was texting away on his phone. I had him on video for about 15 seconds b4 he looked up and noticed me filming him. He drops his phone, turns on his flashing reds/blues and zips they the light. I emailed the video to the city dept, I'm sure I'll get punished for it.

It is mind boggling that cops search out expired inspection stickers and pay no attention to people texting and driving. Police force could make a fortune in a day.
