Luckily I pulled up twitter when my wife was leaving for Lafayette at 6am and advised her to go old bridge. She just got back on I-10 a couple mins ago at Lobdell in Port Allen.

Hwy 76 between Port Allen & Ramah, the most under appreciated hwy in the state.

I cover all of S.La in my deliver truck, so I literally check the traffic (via google maps) about ever hour our so....

Raise the penalties for being stupid.
Would losing your license for 6 months (assuming you were at fault in the crash) result in you driving better/smarter/slower? I'm not sure if that would be more effective or a hefty fine (thousands)? I guess it would depend on the person.
Question...is there a fine if you cause an accident? I honestly don't know.
