Yep

Major westbound delays because of the daily bridge crash

Oops.
He should detour I-12 at Airline/61 to take the older bridge across the Mississippi

Was wondering why it was slowing down around Acadian. Cleared up quick though.

bullshite. Unless you aren't trying to get within 3 exits of campus or aren't going downtown, there's no way.

I leave Denham going towards BR every morning around 6:00-6:15

I rarely get over 70, until I get onto I-10 EB around bluebonnet

The I-12 portion is more like 30-40 mph through most of it

+1

Should be fine at that time considering it's the summer and school's out.

In my defense traffic isn't even something to worry about at that time of the day.

He'll have laffy traffic to contend with.

Yes, it is something to worry about

There was a damn wreck on the bridge that caused delays. It's pretty much always something to worry about.

Not everyone waits til 8 to go to work

Except it is. It will be slow from the 10/12 basically to Dalrymple at the earliest.

Gotta get through BR first, and it isn't "zero traffic" like you said at that time.

It probably won't take that long, but if it was my first week at work or something, Id leave that early until I got a feel for the routine

I second using waze. For trips like that you can't beat it
It will give you a heads up well in advance if there is a worse than usual slow down

I mean you really never know...traffic on I-10 usually isn't that bad during the summer that early, but he is going to Baker and I really don't know those routes at all. I think 6:45 would be overly conservative, but safe.

Again, use Waze...use it right now to see how long it would take if you left now.

Traffic used to be bad. Now that we have the loop it's a breeze.

I drive across the bridge east bound every morning at 5:30 and look over at the West bound parking lot. From the split to the bridge it's bad at that time and continues to get worse. It'll be backed up to Denham by 8
