Hear me out on this:

Cost: 750 Million.
Daily toll revenue: $100,000(50,000 drivers/day @ $2.00)
Miles of road to be constructed: 10
Miles of road to be expanded/widened: 25
Years until bridge debt is paid off: 20

Let's hear the criticism of my plan. Tell me my numbers are not legit.

415 to Ascension is a no brainer.

Sounds great. Let me do a multi phase environmental impact study. Should be able to start Phase II when your grandkids are freshmen at LSU.

The bridge itself will cost way more than $750M

Just finish i49.

Continue lobdell south across the intercostal and connect it with a bridge north of Plaquemine to LA30 and make LA30 from the new bridge to i10 in Gonzales a local expressway.

I've never noticed it until now, but BR is a pretty large city to not have a loop around it. Hell, Shreveport has 3/4s of a loop.

Yeah, the fact that there's only one major crossing over the intracoastal is a real problem

Holy High Res Photos, Batman.

750 million might be enough to cover the first few preliminary site studies a project like this would inevitable require. Actual construction would be in the multiple billions range. Also, it doesn't do shite for anyone on I-12.

Any loop is better than no loop at this point.

Problem I see is that the by pass forces everyone to I -10 and then on to NOLA. Would be better to have the loop hit i-12 instead.

But of course that makes too much sense and is racist as well.

First thing I see wrong, is that you don't have countless hours included for studies that have been done 50,000 times for the last 40 years, but for reasons unknown, we need more of. Until you can include that in your budget, Louisiana politicians will laugh at your plan.
