-Ivars is like real-life Cheers as It's hard not to bump into someone you know there.
-There are several very good looking bartenders
-The wings are good
-The drink specials are fricking perfect for my habits
-$5 Burgers with $2 domestic pints on Tuesdays

Those bullets = frick DupontsCircle right in the pussy.

Looking for a few good bars to meet some singles other than the overpass area.

The Bulldog on pint night is like shooting fish in a barrel if you're looking for young professional women in that 22-30 demo.

The Cove is also nice, but there's often not a ton of women there.

Radio Bar is ok for this as well, and has more of a Hipster vibe, if that's what you're into.

Downtown is where most of these women go to dance. City Bar has the trashy ones, so avoid that place unless you act like a guido on jersey shore and want to fight over spilled jaegar bombs. However, there's B&T's and the Roux house down there which typically has a good crowd.

I have found Tin Roof is a great place to go to meet young professionals, especially the nights when they have bands and either Smokin' Aces or Barbossa's doing a pop-up.

It was a run down dirty martini bar 10 years ago and continues to be. Maybe that was Duvics. Same fricking thing. Under the interstate if I remember right.

Back in 01-03 there used to be a place called The Station that had good burgers on Monday nights.

Uptown. Been to both and Mid-city is always a sausage fest compared to Uptown.

We have bars in our houses. No need to tip a bartender for pouring some whiskey, I got it.

You fricking suck my balls. The new ownership in 14 and the back patio area with better prices have made that place very habitable.
There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that bar. My one knock, which is actually indirectly good for me, is Saturday night is like a fricking Freds spillover.
It's fratted out and way too crowded. I avoid it on Saturdays 100% of the time.
But they charge full price for everything and my daily specials remain intact. .

I've been in there a few times before kickball games...mostly regulars listening to metal while playing pool and tarsha clarks sampling one of each flavor

There still that place across the tracks down by LSU. What the hell the name of that bar...man. It's across from the apartment complex and not in Tigerland. Keep going down that road and you hit the levee.

I think I've only been in once since they redid it... don't live next door any more.

Before though, it definitely sucked.

Olive or Bulldog are the only bars I go to with regularity. But Ivars, Merchant, and occasionally Radio can be okay. Bin 77 can be nice, but I don't know if I'd suggest going there to meet singles.

I believe BR is the highest performing of the locations, oddly. I like Mid City NO location a lot though.

I don't like Duvics b/c of the Smokey arse smell and it's dark. But it just got Best Dive Bar of BR.
Ivars is alot different than you remember it. New bar/taps for draft system/seating/patio out back. New owners. No smoking inside.

ZeeZees(now the Merchant) got a 100% overhaul and you won't recognize it(good thing IMO).

Will you stop being a pretentious fairy?

This is true. It was downhill for last 3 years Pat owned it. Since the ownership change/renovations/drink price decrease it's become a very decent bar for happy hours, bar suppers, etc.

Both have been renovated within the past 5 years. They're a lot nicer now.
