Body camera video has surfaced of Aurora, Colorado, police using a stun gun on the man—seemingly right after he told them, “I know my rights!”
quote:
The ACLU of Colorado just posted a video of an Aurora, Colorado, police officer using a stun gun on Black man last February.

Per the video, which contains text meant to narrate the events, the officers were responding to a call about a man who pulled a gun on a child. The caller did not provide a description of the man. Kelley and his companion were standing on the sidewalk when officers told them to put their hands behind their heads and turn around. Kelley repeatedly asked why he was being detained, and just after he said, “I know my rights!” he was hit in the back with the stun gun, which caused him to fall backward into the street. When Kelley reminded one of the officers that there were witnesses, the officer said, “It's all on video, sweetheart.”

Anyone yelling "I know my rights" to the cops prolly deserves whatever they get.

I'll wait for an uncut, untampered with video from a source without an obvious agenda.

Whoa.....was this ever substantiated?

Part of me thinks this was a set up.

He's lucky it was only a taser. I refuse to give an opinion on this until more facts come out. He could've been the one who pulled a gun out on a child and at the same time the police could've detained the wrong guy.

So............they used non-lethal method to detain a potentially armed suspect? Good for them.

The edited video, which was posted by the ACLU today
Most important takeaway from the article. If the video shows what you claimed then why did you edit it? Is it plausible that he was given chance after chance to stop because every cop in America knows that when they approach a minority that their every move and action will be criticized? Does anyone have the link for the unedited video? I would like to see what the ACLU thought that they needed to edit out for the sake of pushing an agenda.

Exactly. You're being mouthy at a police call out where you are suspected of pulling a gun on a child and you only get tased? I'd say that's exactly what less-than-lethal force was designed to do.
If you've ever been tased, you know it sucks, but it's over in 5 seconds. You live to fight (and be an a-hole that makes stupid decisions) another day.

It's OK for police to go around tasing anyone they think is a potential suspect?
Good lord, you people are dense.
All charges were dismissed. The police are about to get a hefty lawsuit.

See that's your problem. You think they needed in tangible proof other than the fact he was black to taze the shite out of him?
