Science educator Bill Nye took a tour of a new Noah's Ark attraction in Kentucky that he has called a danger to the nation's science education.

Answers in Genesis president Ken Ham invited Nye, best known for his 1990s science TV show, to visit the Ark Encounter on Friday.

The Christian group says the ark is part of its ministry that teaches Old Testament stories as true historical events.

Nye toured the ark with his own film crew and the pair engaged in an unscheduled debate discussing creationism versus evolution in front of hundreds of people.

and apparently he's not the only one who's upset...

BTW, since when does tax incentives meant to entice new businesses into an area equal "tax payer funded"? This park was built using private funds and is on private property. Giving tax incentives to a start-up business does not equal tax payer funding. The exhibit is expected to bring two million visitors in it's first year which is the whole purpose of states giving these incentives. The state gives a new business a tax break up front knowing they will make up that money and a lot more off the follow on tax revenue stream generated by that business operating in their state. How is this difficult to understand?

And if they don't like this exhibit, why try to get it shut down instead of simply not going there? Is this place really hurting them that badly?

They should go protest those Mosques in Saudi.

That would be hilarious.

Well, Bill Nye is right. Anyone that actually believes in Noah's Ark story should be declared legally insane.

Out of all the taxpayer funded nonsense, people choose this item to be upset about

ETA: Even more hilarious that this isn't actually funded by tax payers.

I can think of 100 million better things to spend $100 million on than a Noah's Ark replica.

As can I. But it was this guy's money along with private donations that actually funded this thing, not taxpayer money.

This theme park is hilarious, but Nye is an angry miserable old man so it's a win win.

It doesnt, but just like in Black Lives Matter, facts just get in the way of people pushing their agenda.
