Corolla feels like a mom car while Civic/Accord can be driven by anyone.

Dodge Stratus. It's a car for a working man, the kind of man who wears a tie to work and knows how to tie it.

I'm pro-Honda. Since 97 I've had two Civics and an Accord. Very few problems.
Of course, my parents have been driving Toyotas since 1984 and they've also had very few problems.

Horsepower to weight ratio was toooo high so the body kit had to be manufactured out of a dense wood.

Dense wood =$$$$

You couldn't go wrong with either IMO. It's more of a decision on what you like in and on the car.

You'd have to pay me to buy an American sedan.

I would think they are pretty close.Bought my daughter a new 2007 Corolla S that she just sold to my son with 140k miles. Never spent a dime on repairs. She wrecked it 2 or 3 times though. Its good for at least another 100k if he takes care of it. He travels far to work and will use it for commuting.
