Going Thanksgiving week. Anyone have a good tip on where to start booking other than through Disney it self?

Just use Disney's website, or should I use something like Expedia, etc?

The best way is not the easiest but worth it. Buy DVC points from the owners and stay at deluxe resort for a fraction of the cost. There are websites that do the leg work for you but you'll pay more per point.

The Disney website. Once you book you can start making dining reservations...

I just booked our next Disney vacation online yesterday. Why don't you want to use the Disney website? It's terrific.

Find a travel agent that specializes in Disney. They make life easier and do all the leg work.

We booked the hotel through Disney and bought the tickets on Undercover Tourist. It only saved us a few dollars but it's better than nothing. Like others have said, booking through Disney is easy as can be.

bullshite. We did that our first trip and were completely ripped off. Just go to the Disney website. It's much easier and costs much less.
Btw Thanksgiving is the busiest week of the year. That's when we went last time.
ETA: First trip 6600. Second trip 2100. Airfare was only difference in cost, in fact second trip is at a higher level hotel.

The 180 day mark for Thanksgiving week is getting here quick, but you do not have to have a resort reservation to make dining reservatons.
If you do have a resort reservation, you can book 180 days out from arrival plus 10 days (basically the length of your stay). Without a resort reservation you have to book each day individually 180 days out.
If you want one of the nicer meals on Thanksgiving Day, I would HIGHLY advise booking at 5 am (online) or 6 am (phone) exavtly 180 days out. We plan to book Cinderella's Royal Table for our Thanksgiving lunch, then hope to God the LSU game is at night.

Actually I've been reading that the dining reservations are a little easier to get now that they have a $50 penalty for not showing up to your reservation.
This is to stop everyone booking a ton of reservations in all the parks just in case they are in that particular park that day and want to go eat. Meanwhile, they had dinner Rez's at all the other parks at the same time.
Disney says you have to cancel 24 hours in advance to not get the penalty.
ETA: forgot the guy is going on Thanksgiving. I'm sure dinner reservations do book up quick for that day.

Renting DVC points is a great option like previously mentioned, but the better rooms/resorts are usually booked 11 months out, especially for peak holidays.
We booked and paid for Beach Club in January.
Go to the Disney website and create a My Disney Experience account. Figure out your resort preference (value, moderate, deluxe, deluxe villa) and just use MDE to add everything (dining ressies 180 days out, FP+ reservations 60 days out)

Book room only reservation with Disney.
Get tickets thru Undercover Tourist.
Book flight with Southwest.

Not only that, all of our reservations we were supposed to have were not made. Disney was awesome and squeezed us in at every place, but the agency was complete shite.

The 180 day mark from 11/22 would be 5/26, so a week from now.
If I were you, choosing where you want to dine would be be my #1 priority right now.
