Can they( I-pad) be used for reports and papers? How do they get printed? I haven't messed with it enough to try either of these funtions.
I use my iPad for work a ton. Have a bluetooth keyboard, set up and type emails, etc. Have a note taking app that I can type on, as well as write on with a stylus, draw, insert photos, etc. Automatically converts notes to pdf for emailing.
A bunch of textbooks are available through schools via iBooks as well. You should inquire about it. Finally, iWork (Apples version of Office) is free with any new tablet purchase. They are great apps.
We have a wireless printer at work that I can print directly from my iPhone to. Pretty sure its compatible with any wireless printer.
Once again, I'm not trying to be an Apple Fanboy. The Surface is a great device. Full keyboard, and it will run a bunch of programs. Our estimator has his On Screen Takeoff software on it and it runs it pretty well.
