Not many brand new SUVs under 35k worth a damn. Why not buy one a couple years old?

Used is also a possibility. When I said "new" I meant like I'm getting a new car. As in a different car. lol

This.

Sometimes it's just best to buy used and get the most bang out of your buck.

Well in that case I would say a Tahoe or X5, although it would have to be an older X5.

I wouldn't trust that 9-speed transmission.

I've been looking at these. They look pretty nice but for some reason they are ranked like #19 out of 25 on best midsize SUVs on usa today or consumer reports or something like that.

IDK why.

Also been looking at the GRAND cherokee, not the cherokee. Pretty good looking SUVs

Not for towing or anything like that. Just want a SUV that can handle some tough roads and carry quite a few things\individuals

really enjoying our '13 RDX... wanted something smaller that still had a 6cyl engine... the jeeps are all super-nice though, as was the Volvo xc60

ETA: not a big people-mover though. only 4 adults comfortably... and not the hugest cargo area. the all-weather mats are money though! well worth the $ for any vehicle you purchase!

The jeep Cherokee is a lifted car not an SUV.

We have one at work. It actually does well off road, but it isn't very roomy.

This is going to sound horrible but I could never buy a used car. I feel like I'm sleeping in someone else's bed.

Wife has the 2013 grand Charokee and I love it. After a Yukon/Tahoe it would be my choice.

If you don't like those 3 then get a truck.

What company did Chrysler pay off to get that award? That thing is awful.
