Best State in the South Spinnoff

I know I will catch crap for this, but I don't consider Texas a southern State.

I'm going with Kentucky.

Outside of the panhandle and just a bit south there is nothing southern about anything south of st Augustine (and that's even stretching it). Once you move inland though you get a lot more natives and more of a southern culture ...although it is a good bit different than the rest of the Deep South IMO.

Texas isn't southern, but it is "compatible" with the south for the most part. The cultural differences aren't stark.

Florida is the obvious answer, although the appy cultures of North Carolina and Tennessee can clash with the genteel SC/GA/AL/Miss culture at times.

Eastern Shore of MD can get pretty redneck. Lots of jacked up trucks and confederate flags.

Can we create a list of "Southern Sates." Sounds like we need to figure that shite out first.

That list depends on who you ask. I'm from the Deep South, so I consider LA, MS, AL, GA, and South Carolina to be the South.
