Best single-volume histories of World War I and World War II

I'm currently reading two books that I believe are the best single-volume works on World War I and World War II. As there are a few history buffs like myself on this forum, I decided to share my love for these two well-researched tomes.
A World Undone: The Story of the Great War 1914 to 1918 by C.J. Meyer does an incredible job of informing the World War I novice of the complex causes and actions undertaken during the First World War.
The other is The Second World War by Antony Beevor. Beevor's excellent books on the Battles of Stalingrad and Berlin are well known to many on this board. About three or four years ago he released a book concerning the entire conflict. And I believe he has delivered to us the definitive single-volume history with this book.

I would like to throw in Dan Carlin's Hardcore History podcast series Blueprint for Armageddon. It's a 6-part series (each part is roughly 4 hours) that covers most of World War I from the Western viewpoint.
I listened to it last week and now I'm listening to it again, since it's a lot of info to absorb. It's great though. Very entertaining and passionate speaker he is.
He references A World Undone in the podcast several times and recommends that book for further reading too, so I was already thinking of picking it up.
Dan Carlin's Ghosts of the Ostfront is also a great series focusing on the Eastern Front of WWII.

I imagine he's listened to it already. If not, oh boy. Dan is amazing.
