Best Place To Park For Fireworks on Levee?

Is there anyway my lazy arse can position itself in mid city and see some of the show? I don't want to drive downtown, I'd rather just walk down my street

My last couple 4ths in BR (just after Katrina) I dated a chick from new roads but had friends with a house and their back hard was the levee literally directly across the river from the capital. It was an easy drive to just cross the river, drive a mile, park in the neighborhood and walk the levee. Even better when you have a house to eat drink shite and piss
