i want to buy my little girl a play set. who has purchased one recently in the BR, LP, Ascension area? Im looking to spend under 1k, and i dont have any thin low quality wood. i am also considering just buying lumber and building it myself. Any recommendations?

Go to the woods, cut down a tree, and mill the wood yourself. Your daughter will love you forever.

There is a thread that I started yesterday. I bought the one from Home Depot because I felt it gave me the best value for time involvement.

If you have time, get some plans, cut and build it yourself to save some money. I should get it in about 2 weeks. I will have myself and probably 4-5 friends to help knock it out quickly.

I've seen nice wooden play sets at Costco before.

So how many Mexicans outside Home Depot would you hire to build one Fin?

Buy the lumber and download plans and build it with your daughter. It'll be a great experience.

My dad and I built my swingset/tree house and I'll always remember that

Swearsies it's a better option.

Buy this Kit. includes brackets and swings and full list of materials. Get the lumber and build yourself. It is much better than a store bought. You can do it in a day with someone helping.

My dad built us a treehouse by hand as well(it was an awesome treehouse). I didn't help but got to pick out what color it was to be painted.

Bright red.

I built a basic square tower about 50 inches off ground with a slide and a connecting A frame beam/swingset. Built a little ramp on the other end. It was only about 450-500 and way more sturdy than those cheap arse ones that most people get. I'm also not overly experienced with carpentry or construction. With a few weekends work you won't regret it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm leaning more towards buying lumber and building myself
