Live in Lafayette. Looking for an onshore office job pertaining to the oilfield industry, sites like Rigzone don't post too many of the office jobs. Any recommendations?

Also - look into HSE if you really want an office job or something that can lead to it. Columbia Southern does an online masters in occupational safety, and you can sit for an ASP and then CSP following that.

There are a few safety training places in Lafayette, also. Training places may take someone with little to no safety experience and train them. May want to check out their websites for job openings.

Get on I-49 south at I-10

Go south, there's hundreds of places with now hiring banners out front from there to Houma, and back.

Linkedin. Join O&G groups. Lots of networking and job opportunities happen on Linkedin. Recruiters contact me all the time based on my profile.

LinkedIn and indeed are the two I've used successfully. Sometimes contacting recruiters can be helpful though I believe this reduces your bargaining power because of their cut.

Good luck. With the price of the barrel of oil many companies aren't hiring like they were six months ago.

My company has a hiring freeze but promises no lay offs are coming

OP, I agree with indeed. But I've been contacted by a headhunter on LinkedIn

Pretty much. Some stuff I'll see on LI, but Indeed has a ton more.
