Doesn't Centurion Place still light up their neighborhood streets with the candles?

There is a house that looks borderline ridiculous in Centurion Place. Somewhere towards the back of the neighborhood. It is the LED lights, so they almost look blue. It makes it seem worse due to the fact that none of their neighbors have any Xmas lights up.

Clark Griswold style will be hard to find. I usually have a pretty good time riding around in Kenilworth, because they do a whole award show for best lights, most original, etc. and its fun to drive around and look for them.

I know theres a neighborhood called Monticello sort of near Central that used to the the premier christmas lights neighborhood..never checked it out though.

I think Monticello is the ghetto now, but it was awesome back in the day

I used to live in Monticello way back in the day and it was so packed with cars going through there to look at lights that some people would just park on the medians and walk. We moved in '87 though as it was starting to become extremely "ethnic". During Christmas it was pretty badass though. My dad and I would spend all day putting up tons of lights and the majority of the houses were the same way. That was also back in the day when neighbors knew each other and people would wave to others as they drove by. Oh how things have changed.....

no idea if its legit. Its just been floating around on a few sites. I just saw it today. If real that's one of the best Christmas decorations I've seen or heard of.

Damn that sounds pretty awesome. Reminds me of when I did our yard with my dad, and we put lights on the chimney and everything.

Sucks that the neighborhood went south so bad. I wonder if there are even neighborhoods who do it big like that anymore, or if the majority of people just dont give a shite about lights. I've always wondered how people up north do it anyway.

Monticello was the place to go to check out the lights.

It's weak now. People moved out.. got old. It's not worth the drive across town anymore.

Putting up Christmas lights started dying year by year in the 2000s.

I went to a Christmas party in Shenandoah last night and there were a lot of houses decorated. It was fun driving through the neighborhood playing Christmas music.
