Going to Garth this weekend in Shreveport. What's the best place to stay with a good pool? Horseshoe? Margaritaville? El Dorado?

David Motel - It's for nicer people.

Sams Town isn't bad but El Dorado is nicer

Those are all great, but they may all be booked.
I'd give the DARE pool at Horseshoe the edge.

I can advise that El Dorado is not the best hotel of those 3. It is the best casino though. A lot of locals like it over the others.
I haven't been, but Margaritaville is the newest. I'd assume it's the "best" hotel and has a nice pool...

Like Clyde said, Eldorado is the best to play at. Its bright, loud, good atmosphere.
The others all have low ceilings, dark, etc. Not a hype environment to throw cards.
Margaritaville newest hotel, solid accomadations.
Sams town and Diamond Jacks and Boomtown blow all around.
ETA: Margaritaville floor is decent but small and cramped imo

El Dorado and Horseshoe have bigger rooms than Margaritaville. El Dorado is my go to when i have to visit the port city.

What Polar Pop said is spot on.

Not a big gambler so the actual casino isn't too high on my list.

I'd go with Margaritaville then.

Good luck finding a room this late in the game...if you do stumble on one you will pay out the arse

Margaritaville & Horseshoe are the only ones I'd stay. Horseshoe is much older but they do a good job renovating their rooms and they're huge.
Make sure to get a river view at either so you can see the glorious Shreveport skyline.

Do you plan on staying one or two nights? Most of the ones I checked were a two night minimum other than Samstown

Stay at the Remington downtown. Nicest hotel in town and close enough to the casinos

Stayed at the Horseshoe once....it's pretty nice

There's a new Asian café that opened in Margaritaville on July 18th. Haven't been there yet, though.
