I want to put all terrains and a leveling kit on my Ford F-150. What is the best bang for your buck as far as no humming in the tires and best performance? Also, how many inches is necessary for no rubbing in leveling kit? TIA

You're welcome.

I put Nitto Terra Grapplers and a 2 inch level on my 2014 F150. I love them. No road noise and they look good - not too aggresive but still rugged looking.

I've had HellBentSteel leveling kits on my vehicles.

For tires, I've used BFG's for the last few sets.

Just some info, be aware that tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints and possibly wheel bearings will wear down much quicker with a leveling kit and any lift. I've had increased wear in my experience. It will be a case by case though, obviously.
Gotta pay to play.

Just had a set, the name looks good but they aren't worth the money wear way too fast.

Order you a 2.5" leveling kit on ebay, will be much cheaper than going to a mechanic shop or auto accessory store. AT tires = General Grabber AT2. You won't be let down

I've personally had no wear issues, but it doesn't shock me

I wouldn't use them if my brother in law didn't sell them to me wholesale.

BFGs are the best tire but they are expensive. I opted for a set of Cooper Discover A/Ts for half the price. I love them and will buy another set when these wear down.

I've never had a leveling kit so I can't help there

BFG ATs and Bilstein 5150 leveling shocks are the answers. Spend the money and do it right.

It all depends on what size tire you put on and what size engine you have.

If you put the same size as factory (most go bigger) then it probably won't affect you mpg too much. If you go a size or two bigger and you have a V8 then you will probably lose 1-2 miles per gallon. If you have a V6 and go with a larger tire then it will struggle more to turn them and cause you to lose more mpg.

If you go with a tire larger then say a 35" then your mpg will drop more.

A leveling kit alone shouldn't really affect the gas mileage. For the most part it just depends on the tire size and the RPMs required to turn them

Also fun note, with bigger tires your odometer will read less miles than you actually have.

My truck has about 8,000 more miles than is shown on the odometer. Your MPG display on the dash will be off (show lower than actual) as well.

why is it that the manufactures don't level the dang things to begin with when so many people end up leveling them out anyway. Always wondered that...OT mechanics??

So it's level when there is a load on the hitch/in the bed.

People forget what trucks are actually made for these days
