Are any of these worth the money? If so, do you have a favorite? I always hear about the wine versions of these services, which people seem to enjoy, but I'm hoping to get some feedback on a good beer variety. I'm thinking this may be a good Christmas gift for my brother.

Meh. If you are not living in the boonies you should just go to places that let you mix and match bottles to get a six pack.
And go to beer tastings and festivals and such.
The beer and wine of the months seem to suck

I got gifted the 6 month beer of the month. I enjoyed it.

You get 12 beers per pack. 4 different types. They are all craft beers. Some ipa some pale are, dark, etc.

Each shipment comes with an insert about each brewery and beer.

Not quite as satisfying as the jelly of the month club.

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I like "rare beer club". Actually sends you some good and interesting beers. Don't buy the "amazing clubs" one that comes up number one. Someone gave me that as a gift. The beers were drinkable at best. I just threw many of them away.

How big in to beer is he? If he usually drinks bud/miller then the amazing clubs might work for him. If he is the kind of guy who keeps rare beers for special occasions then rare beer club.

Im hoping to find one with more obscure beer he can't find locally. Would even be ideal to find obscure European varieties(not sure that it's possible). He likes to collect beer, so if I can find one with more to offer than his local Kroger, I'll go through with getting it for him.

I'll have to google that one. He's definitely not a drinker of the typical American frat beers.

If he collects then google rare beer club. Michael Jackson(the famous beer author not the famous pervert) founded it. It's good stuff for guys who like rare beer.

I already knew what the 'mavens' would say before I clicked the thread. I mean did you really think shitlords would do anything other than toss their nose up at it like it's a mass produced domestic with a shifty mouthfeel?

Don't listen to the beer snobs on here. MIL signed me up for one last Xmas and I've really enjoyed it. Have discovered some fantastic beers I would have never found

I wonder about beers that don't distribute to Louisiana. I guess maybe there are exchanges for this sort of thing.
