Beer cans at HS football game lead 75 students to be drug, alcohol tested

The parent is required to "arrange for an immediate medical examination of the student within two hours for the purposes of providing appropriate health care and for determining whether the student is under the influence of alcohol," according to district policy

First of all, they have no idea if they broke the law or not, they are literally testing to find out if they broke the law.
Second of all, I think you need to stand up against the mass drug/alcohol testing of minors because of massively insufficient evidence.

As long as my kid wasn't hammered and didn't drive, I'd be pretty okay with it. I would just tell him he picked a stupid place to drink and next time to wait until after the game.

I remember getting caught smoking weed in the school parking lot my senior year. The asst. principle caught us and brought 3 friends of mine and myself into his office. He asked us to put our hands together like we were praying. Came by and smelled all our hands, which he could smell the weed on.
We only got 2 days of suspension. We all got out of school early too so we didn't give a damn.
