Battle of Gettysburg Animated Map
LINK
One of the coolest places the I have even been to. Hard to imagine fighting on Little Round Top or in Devil's Den.

I can't imagine the bravery it took to fight that way.

Also amazing it was only 150 years ago.

Great post
Just shared this with my son

Those old napoleonic battlefield strategies of marching lines into rifle emplacements is crazy by today's standards of warfare

Post revolutionary war, arguably the 3 most important days in American history. Before I die I have to visit there. The South almost won dammit!

It was even crazier they continued them into WWI against better rifles. machine guns, and artillery

Think about what our guys faced on D-day. Storming those beaches was insane.

Good post. The Battlefield is pretty amazing. There's a palpable energy in the air around the whole place. Standing on top of Little Round Top and walking through the Devil's Den are particularly powerful experiences.
