Mayor-President Kip Holden said on Wednesday the city-parish will move its trick-or-treat hours because of expected bad weather.
Holden's office said official trick-or-treat hours for the city and unincorporated areas will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

How does this work? Is this for areas who are throwing giant neighborhood parties or churches doing big events? They can't tell people when and when not to ring a door bell on someone else's property. I've never understood this stuff, we didn't have this shite when I was growing up. Halloween was always Oct 31 and if it was raining you brought the umbrella and got wet and had a damn blast doing it.

It's a public safety issue. If Kip gets wet he can't do blow off his girlfriends stomach in public safely.

Lotta complaining going on over this. Personally I'd rather not get wet and have soaking wet children. But, if this upsets you just go walk around in the rain on the 31st.

we know how much Kip likes his costumes. the rain will probably out a serious damper on whatever he has planned for this year

Anybody else think it's kinda crazy how the mayor can just move holidays like this? I hope he moves thanksgiving to a Friday, that would be the tits.
