Baton Rouge is on pace to become the next Detroit. Thank god for Juban Crossings and how Livingston Parish has grown the last couple years. I have no need to go the shite hole that is Baton Rouge

Good. At least now BR has someone that will take the money from all of those greedy people on Highland Rd and give it to the people who deserve it.

How long before BR gets a monorail?

Baton Rouge has been a chocolate city for long time now. And no one should be surprised by this pick. This is a typical pick. Reminds me of Corrine Brown and Sheila Jackson Lee.

f BR becomes another New Orleans, you can say goodbye to LSU being anywhere close to respected and the athletic programs will be done. In-staters will opt for a small school somewhere else in the state and out of staters won't even consider it a destination. And the top athletic talent will get snatched up by Bama and Texas and A&M, maybe Arkansas too.
This could have some serious ripple effects.

This has to be the dumbest post I've read on here in a while.

But that isn't the discussion so I don't know why i would even bite. Shame on me.

Any hoot, some one fill me in on this new mayor in our capital city... give me the run down

Contrary to popular belief, the mayor is about as important to the city as gary chambers. Houston has had one clown show after another for the last 20 years from Lee Brown to the caucasian lesbian annise parker with the adopted minority children to help her cause of equality to our new guy sylvester. Baton Rouge will always be a POS bc its just flat out a POS, the mayor has no bearing on that. Houston is littered with trash and they dictate who the mayor is all the time and its done nothing to us.

I want to know what reason everyone os freaking out about with her winning? She isn't the disaster that C Denise Marcelle would have been.

It seems like the threads talking about the traffic going into and from Baton Rouge every day tells me that's where the money is to be made in the region.

Yep. Since essentially everything north of Florida Blvd. is funded by the tax payers who live south of Florida Blvd., if St. George becomes a reality, BR is screwed.
