I don't believe we will for two reasons:
1)Cops don't want to appear to be taking a "defensive" stand by saying he was a known dealer it would likely lead to more violence. People were already defending his "criminal past" when his arrest history made the news. 2)Would knowing that change any of the perception that this was "race" related?
People are going to sit on whatever side of the fence they are already on. I don't think anyone who is protesting his death is going to be swayed to take a different position on the subject based on his criminal activity.

Semi interesting tidbit.
I have my kid reading Malcolm Gladwell's book Blink and just got sent a pic about having 1 vs. 2 cops ride together. In reference to the CD guy incident, I always assumed 2 were safer than 1, but I'm no expert.

Email he sent to his racist professor. Listening to this professor talk could push someone over the edge IMO. Basically the cops were killed because of the Alton Sterling "outrage."

Publicized events brought the latest shooter to BR because he heard many times that the killing of Sterling was unjustified. This is before all the facts are known and video angles are released for public consumption.
