Every generation bitches about some prior generation, these millennials just have the internet to voice the opinion. This is a result of years of participation trophies and being told how special they are every day of their lives.

Everyone acts in their own self interest and all of you bitching about boomers will as well. Your kids and grandkids will bitch about you.

I LOL'd, too.

That's damn near $10/hour for an eighteen year old in today's dollars...roughly what most 18 year olds make.

Oh, and the chunk of income that went to healthcare, tuition, and rent/mortgage was barely a fraction of what that same 18 year old is paying today.

It was the same way for us with the generation before. It's all the same and the generation after you will be waiting for you people to die also.
So, be careful what you wish for it can backfire on you.

Not really.

You don't see too many Millennials bitching about X'ers or the Silent or the Greatest. It's pretty specific targeting against the worst generation this country has produced in at least a century: Boomers.

The worst is the current college group that is graduating and expecting to make top dollar with no practical experience. They just want the money, bit haven't done anything to earn it.

My parents both grew up with nothing and worked their asses off to make sure I had it better than they did.

Back when a high School graduate would work at a gas station and afford to be a home owner. This generation can't even get a job without a college degree and experience. Then you're in so much debt you can't buy a home or even afford one because they cost upward of 200,000. Not to mention don't even try to get a loan with what credit because their generation fricked the banks taking out loans they couldn't pay sending us to a financial crisis and causing banks to scarcely to give out loans.

The boomer generation was handed the keys to the kingdom on a silver platter. They grew up in the most prosperous period in American history, and they just threw it all away.

Economically and politically, that generation has probably had the worst impact of any American generation.

The debt they accrued makes Scruffy want to vomit. The wars they started for atrociously idiotic reasons are insane.

The saddest thing is that the most idiotic members of what is likely the greediest and most foolish generation are still elected.

Scruffy does not defend his generation, they largely suck, but this country has a 0.0% chance of survival if we are even half as bad as the boomers.

May God have mercy on all of us.

That's a pretty ironic statement considering the input/output ratio of Social Security and Medicare that Boomers will have when it's all said and done.

No, that doesn't matter to them. They are entitled to that...despite all of the debt they have already saddled us with.

It is their birthright to have their offspring support them.

Yea, I don't think these financially illiterate frickwads understand that when they were in their twenties, there were between ten and fifteen people paying into SS for every recipient; now it's more like 3:1. It's far, far worse in Europe, and I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been more civil unrest.

It's the sort of thing over which a French generation would have taken to the barricades in the nineteenth century. It's outright generational theft.
