Time is money. We don't get that back. Many people will still cancel, this will only prevent a few.

Well that is nice, but stop throttling my data.

You won't have to pay for services you never received?

Good.
The loyalists will stay with them and won't bombard the networks of people who really need their phones.

Have a buddy spend all day and Verizon couldn't get his number ported from ATT. Wound up staying with ATT.

50% of one month sounds cheezy. The cost to retain a customer is far cheaper than the cost to acquire a customer and it cost even more to recover a lost customer

frick AT&T. Verizon, here I come.

Unless you make them buy their way out of a contract, which most people have to do.
Easy to say you are leaving until you have to come up with $500+ to buy out the contract and pay for the leased phones.

exactly, it's easy to get emotional and try and talk like a bad arse. But when it comes down to it, people aren't forking out hundreds of $$ to prove a point.
As far as being upset with AT&T. Do some of you not realize that they had central offices flood? Hundreds of digital systems and T1 lines that were under water for days that fed the cell towers? I know several employees that were out for days trying to get the shite back up. shite happens, get over it

Verizon will pay for this.

Not enough and not on time.
This 14 year (cingular to ATT) customer is rolling to Verizon. Listened to my family who lost everything (like water made it into the attic and so they lost everything) tried to cancel everything ATT except cell service as they have no tv to watch nor will they for a long time, and ATT won't cancel their policies. Screw them.

But shouldn't that be better protected?

No contract here, and my phones were bought third party. I can roll when and where I want. Not giving money to this company any longer.

You must own stock. Correct me if I am wrong, but Verizon towers and systems took on the same flood waters and NEVER lost service. Then they're paying for customers during the flood times. They're earning people's business.

Half off a service that doesn't work! Awesome!
We bought out of our contracts yesterday and will be switching to Verizon as soon as att unlocks our phones.
The manager at the att store asked us to goto some website on our phones yesterday while in their store and nothing would load
