went to at&t and was told their 25/5 Mbps internet is just as fast, if not faster than my current cox internet at 50 Mbps. Is this true? I know those sales reps can just say anything to sale a product... thanks!

Are you asking if 25 = 50?

I have At&T 24 mbps. It does the job for gaming and streaming video. It is certainly not faster than Cox 50mbps.

If you don't have AT&T Fiber in your neighborhood, stick with Cox.

First off, there's a tech board.
Secondly, AT&shite DSL isn't reliable internet, and AT&shite have the worst customer service on planet earth.

I've had both and Cox internet worked better and offered faster speeds. I also had a problem with my WIFI that took 3 ATT 3 different house calls to resolve. The ATT TV service worked fine though.

You retards. Cox 50mb can AVERAGE 25mb. I'm quite certain that's what the rep was saying. ATTs guaranteed 25mb matches Coxs average real speed.

I can tell you for that our Cox 50mb does not average more than 35-40mb any given month. shite be dropping all the time and then back at 48mb 5 minutes later.

I still like Cox over ATT on Perkins Road where we be.

Then you need to call Cox to get that fixed because you're supposed to be getting 50mb.

If you had AT&T you would have the same chance that it would be fricked and you'd be getting 15mb instead of 25mb.

It's not worth fighting and taking speed tests 10 times a day. That 50mb ain't guaranteed.

Now, I lived in an apartment 2 miles down Perkins that had fantastic uptime, never a single issue.

Ours is okay now with only occasional issues with WatchESPN for live LSU games(may not be Cox related).

Also, my GF works about 400 yards away from our place now and have the same exact problems with uptime with Cox Business account. Location location location.

I never understand these threads. Why not just ask what you really want to know?

Can I have 2-3 shows being recorded and still stream HD porn on my ipad at the same time without lag issues?

No, Cox is lightspeeds faster than at&t. I just switched to Cox and I know first hand. Cox, believe it or not, is cheaper too. I am paying $75 dollars less a month for the same speed internet that I was getting with at&t (50 Mbps) and the Cox actually pulls down the 50. The problem with at&t is that the internet also powers the TV so it gets bogged down. Cox has independent internet and tv so it doesn't get bogged down, at least that's what I've found.

Besides, every time you call At&t you have to talk to an asian that doesn't understand what the frick you are talking about. They just read a script and it's aggravating as frick. At least you get to talk to a democrat in new orleans when calling Cox.

You know they are laughing at you now, right?

I have 10 brand new $1 bills I will gladly trade you for 10 old wrinkly $100 bills, ok? The $1 bills are way better, ya know!
