I turned on my TV last night to find a giant red X with the number "5" under it. I know obviously something is messed up but does anyone know what it means?

Did you unplug the box and power cycle it?
I've had very few issues with my UVerse receivers but that has always solved the issue.
UVerse cable has been great for me.
Their internet is another story though

Yeah I did. Followed the instructions and it still wont work. Also couldn't find anywhere online what the X with the 5 meant.

I would assume fricking or just doesn't know anything about Uverse. I've had Uverse for over a year and have had 0 issues with it or it's internet. It's worked 100 times better than Cox ever did, or my in laws Direct TV (which goes out every other week).

This is all good to hear. They're offering $275 gift card and a discounted rate for the first 12 months. I've decided to switch over from Cox but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've talked with 2 of my neighbors and they both love Uverse. Its reassuring to hear that your experience has been positive too.

Only thing I don't have is CST but I just watch the games on Geaux Zone. I find myself watching less cable and more movie & sports channels with Uverse.

I've had it for almost 3 years out here in Houston and have never had any issues. I love it.

Cox sucks compared to Uverse. I don't have an opinion about the dish providers.
