Yeh, this question has been asked twice, "why pay when I have insurance". I pay routine bills out of pocket until I reach my deductible then I can file with insurance if necessary. This way my insurance never gets dinged (like a credit report) and my premiums hopefully stay lower. Been doing this for years. But everytime that receptionist, and sometimes the manger say the same thing, that "it's illegal"! I'm like "what"?!
