Has there ever been a study on which brand causes the most occurrences?

I feel like this is easily obtained but not listed..

Lung cancer is caused by more factors than just smoking. Genetics play a very big part. I would guess that menthols are pretty fricking bad.

One or two non filters a day won't kill ya.

2 packs of Marlboro lights for 20 years, and you may as well keep smokin.

I've been a pack every 2 weeks or so "social smoker" for years now and cardiologist told me its ok. He said a true "smoker" is 7-10 smokes on average per day.

My dad has been fighting lung cancer for over a year now and has a great oncologist. He told us that only a very small number of people actually get cancer from smoking. Something like 17%. The odds go up when you add in other factors which in my dad's case working around asbestos in the 70's and 80's is the suspect.

Did you enjoy smoking? If so, why did you quit?

Anything in moderation is generally okay. But it's still a bad habit and it's best if you just quit altogether.

I agree with plenty of factors contributing. .. and I know cancer is a ninja bitch with no remorse..

I'm just wondering if anyone has tried seeing if one brand claims more

Very true. Hope your dad is doing okay. Lung cancer is the "cause" of my dad's death, but radiation and chemo were the real killers. He was retired and playing golf 4 days a week, gets treatment and went from a vibrant 70 year old guy to a person who looked 90 and bitter. He told me he should have refused treatment and just let it take its course. It sucks, I miss him every day, but I'll never forget how a really healthy guy just withered away because of "medicine".

We hope so. It is non-small cell which is the most aggressive kind and can spread pretty rapidly. His was only in one spot on his lungs when they caught it and it has shrunk greatly with treatment. He is off of chemo and radiation for know with check ups every 3 months but the doc said it's very aggressive and can come back rapidly and stronger than before. We are waiting on an updated CT scan to see if it is has grown any the past few months because he is still having some bronchitis like issues which is how they found it the first time.
