An Arkansas mom who gave her baby son bourbon to stop him crying has been arrested for child endangerment and aggravated assault.

Lori Sheppard, 28, allegedly put bourbon in her 10-month-old son’s bottle to stop him crying as he was suffering from painful gums last week.

Her boozy plot backfired when son Ronald was rushed to a hospital emergency room after he was found “limp and unresponsive,” according to The Smoking Gun.

Bourbon? That's awful.

Babies are sensitive. They don't deserve anything less than 21-year old scotch.

A tiny bit helps with pain from teething.

When I was a baby and I had a toothache, my momma would rub some whiskey on her finger and pour me a couple shots.

This is a widely practiced home remedy and has been used for centuries.

However, you are not supposed to give the baby so much that it's out in the yard wearing it's diaper and trying to fight the neighbors.

We got whiskey on the gums. Not a bottle full, but whiskey none the less.

So he can't operate a motorized swing at that level. Give the kid a break and let him call someone to take him back to his crib.

Older folks used to do that in the past. Obviously they used less than what she did.

Used to be pretty common, but not in a quantity that would make them sick.
