Arkansas Canoeing

My son and I would like to go canoeing on the Bufffalo River, but hear that the water level is low right now. Anyone know about this or can suggest any other good canoe places in Arkansas. Any good water falls with swimming?

Call pack rat in Fayetteville before you get ready to go, they keep all the river levels updated and can probably tell you where the best spot would be

Man it's been along time, but rent a cabin in Ponca (City), AR. I'm not sure what the river levels are right now but you can find them on NOAA.

Gotta go in the spring if you're gonna float the Buffalo. Look into the Current and the Spring Rivers... I think both are spring fed and have a constant flow of nice, cold spring water.

Was up there a couple of weeks ago and there was only a trickle of water. I've heard it's best to go in spring. You could try a lake instead.
