sorry to hear

while you are waiting for supplies

you may wish to alter that which may help you to recover

I used to tip 3-4 fingers of blackberry brandy, drink hot earl grey tea and hit the sack

I've altered what works depending on new info, if I get it or not.

this site just blows me away...cheap and effective

I'm miserable when I'm sick. I'm hardly ever sick though. :knocks on wood:

Stomach viruses hit me pretty hard. Other than that I can roll with the punches with anything else.

Eh, kind of. I used to get colds A LOT in school, and I actually have one now. I have the drug routine down pat: Extra-strength nasal decongestant, Mucinex for cough, NyQuil for nighttime, Afrin for breathing, and Zicam to try to get the damn thing to go away. Plus various hot/cold fluids, tons of hand sanitizer, travel-size tissues and skin lotion for when my nose chafes from said tissues.

I still hate being sick though and will likely complain about it. Like now.

*knock on wood*

Ever since I entered the workforce I have never once taken a sick day. Other than just regular ol vacation/personal days, the only time I had to take off was when I broke my wrist, but that's not really being sick.

Not really a fan of people that come to work sick. A guy at work the last couple of days has been coughing, sucking snot and blowing his nose constantly. Sucks for the dudes in the cubes that sit next to him.

It's an occupational hazard for me. It's gotten better though. My first year as a peds nurse I was sick like every month it felt like.

I'm actually sick right now. Went to urgent care this am only because if I have the flu or strep throat I could get started on Tamiflu or some antibiotics so I could be better asap. I have to work Superbowl Sunday and I'll be penalized if I call in sick that night(it's considered a "critical staffing day" at the hospital). I don't have strep or flu, likely some respiratory virus one of my patients had. Just gonna rest, drink lots of fluids, eat ice cream for my throat, and enjoy the Phenergan/codeine syrup the PA was kind enough to prescribe to me for my cough.

I'm fine at being sick as long as people leave me alone. Misery doesn't like company in my case.

Some people will say a runny nose due to allergies is being sick, and not just females.

Unless you're running a fever over 100.9 to me..you aren't sick (as far as cold/flu/sinus is concerned)

I can't stand when grown arse men pull that shite

That's how my husband is. I want to baby him and nurse him back to health and he just wants to sleep all day and be left alone.

Me...when I'm sick I want to be fussed over some. I care for other people all the time. Kinda sucks when I don't feel well I don't have someone to fuss over me(my husband is currently holed up in his mancave and has forbade me to enter so I don't "spread my sickness"). He slept on the couch last night as well cause he didn't want to breath in my "sickie germs"

I don't whine about it too much, it doesn't help anything, I don't do a lot when I'm sick though.

I'm bad at being hungover though

100% this. A lot of my friends/family power through hangovers the next day like it's nothing. I can't function.

I rarely get terribly sick. Last time I did was in March of 2011. My company spent a good chunk of change to send me to do training near Nashville. I got a moderate case of the flu and felt like absolute arse for 3 of the 5 days that I was there. Got sick again on the way home while stuck in Atlanta's airport for ~8 hours. Didn't dare miss any time as it would have really screwed the company over. They laid me off about 6 months later.
