Well, here's a test to find out. Here are some results from peer reviewed studies:
US University undergraduates (Raskin and Terry, 1988): 15.6
US Adults (Pinsky and Young, 2009): 15.3
US Celebrities (Pinsky and Young, 2009): 17.8
I scored 15 out of 40, so pretty much the American norm. Tested high Exhibitionism, Entitlement, and Authority, but tested 0 in Exploitativeness and Vanity.

There's more to being narcissist than thinking you're better than black people. Race pretty much has nothing to do with being narcissist. Take the test.

7. I'm a pretty humble person.

I really don't give a shite about authority as long as I'm getting paid what I want and authority is normal. If your boss is a dick, you'd want the power. If he's cool, and you're well compensated, why rock the boat? Marriage is egalitarian.
Plenty of circumstances can alter this decision. I don't think it's some deep look into the human psyche. It's all surface level, and it all depends on honesty, which many have a difficult time with.
