I see how we have our military in around 150 countries around the world ... does the US allow foreign military to station here?

I really don't understand why we need foreign bases, we have missles and planes that can fly around the world

Missles and planes can't take ground.

Wrong. Foreign militaries have permanent trainnig units in the U.S., and even more rotate units here to train. I just spent a month with a bunch of Japanese.

Germans, Australian, British, Japanese, Saudi Arabians, Georgians, Thai, Taiwanese, Turkish, and Afghans are a few of the countries that have personnel in the United States

This blows my mind ... where are they located? Do they simply share our military bases?

All of those I listed are specifically trained at Fort Rucker. The Germans have a garrison at Fort Bliss, TX.

Well countries seem to be a little more inclined to be well behaved when you're in their backyard.

To put it another way, the US is in foreign countries for the same reason we wouldn't want foreign countries in the US.

You aren't gonna make a wrong turn and end up at checkpoint manned by the Germans or Saudis. They typically have facilities on U.S. bases.

I don't think I've ever been to a military base where I didn't see at least a few foreigners in goofy arse uniforms walking around. Yeah they do a lot of training here.

I met some Australians at Ft. Huachuca, AZ that were training to fly drones.

There are foreign militaries right here in Louisiana. Check out Fort Polk sometime.
