Looking for a good recliner and would like to spend under 1k. Growing up always heard lazy-boy was the best, but I really don't have a clue about recliners.
Any suggestions

Holy shite. Are recliners that expensive?.

I figured you could find a good one for 300 or so

Just go find one you think is comfortable. I don't usually look at name brands if I like something I like it.

Not really sure, you may want to check, but I think the OT deemed Lazy-boys trashy... the OT thrash list needs to be updated

FIL, once retired, spends 10 hours a day in his recliner. All he has ever bought are LazyBoy recliners after having a shitty off brand first one.

I see terrible sitting posture developed since he basically sits scooted forward with feet on the footrest area, knees up, and pressure point at his L4-L5. Yes, his back hurts all the time and Spinal Stenosis is real.

My goal is to spend 10 hours a day in recliner, 10 hours in bed, 2 hours eating and 2 hours shitting.

Recliners can get very high. I was at gallery furniture in Houston looking around earlier this month and the damn bar stools were 300-500 each. Recliners around 1-2k from what I recall but wasn't really looking for one.

They most definitely are.

If you have kids, especially babies that you rock it is even more so.

Unless you've never been up all night with a baby that won't sleep you won't know how important it is to be able to recline back and rock at the same time!

If you buy go to a laz boy gallery, find the one you want and then shop online for best price including warranty

For example wayfair had cheapest price and a cheaper warranty...laz boy gallery matches price and will match their warranty price...and it's a better warranty.

My La-z-boy is leather and was just over $1K. And it's worth every goddamn nickel.

Have my grandfathers but rarely use it. It's normal reclining position is tilted so far back you need a damn winch to get out of it.

The Ekornes stressless chairs are great. ... but they make lazy boys look like IKEA furniture.

Recliners are like shoes, you've got to go try them on. I bought a Barcalounger. Spend right at 1K. Love it. My folks have had La Z Boy for years.
